Any one at any time and anywhere can connect with Jesus in a living encounter that results in being born
again and gaining eternal life. No denomination can claim to be the only way to God--only Jesus has a legitimate claim to that.
In these last days, there seems to be a large migration of protestants towards
the Roman Catholic faith accompanied by great deal of confusion concerning the doctrinal differences between Protestants
and Roman Catholics.
There are many. Here are some
facts which should clarify some issues for Bible believing Christians.
Salvation cannot be found anywhere within Roman Catholic Dogma.
The Bible says if we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is the risen
Son of God, we will be saved (Romans 10:9-10,13).
Roman Catholism says we are reborn through baptism (pg 469 Documents of Vatican 2).
The Bible says all who are saved are baptized into the Body of Christ through the Holy Spirit (1
Roman Catholism says we are "fully incorporated" into the Body of Christ through partaking of the Roman
Catholic Mass (page 112 documents Vatican 2).
The Bible says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith..."(Ephesians 2:8).
Roman Catholicism says the possibility of salvation only comes through the sacraments (pg 292 Catechism
of the Catholic Church published by the United States Catholic Conference).
Each of these points represents an either-or choice. We simply cannot have it both ways.
The Bible is the authoritative Word of God and nothing supersedes what the Bible says--period. Yet the
Vatican proclaims the word of the Pope is infallible (regardless of whether or not it aligns with the Bible).
Roman Catholicism says that Bishops, who do not enjoy infallibility, can infallibly proclaim
the word of God if they are in communion with the Pope,(documents of the Vatican 2 pg. 379-380).
The Roman Catholic Church is not the Church established by Jesus Christ. The Church established by Christ
is a "living organism." It is called his Body. It is not a "liturgical, hierachal, organization."
Roman Catholicism is, and always has been, a counterfeit form of Christianity. No salvation has ever been found
within its dogma.
Jesus said, come unto ME....
Eternal life is found ONLY in the person and completely finished work of our Messiah. His graces are applied by faith alone--not
by partaking in religious sacraments.
Believe in our
hearts and confess with our mouths. ALL who call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.
